Grievance Policy
At the Inner Compass Academy, we are committed to maintaining a high standard of integrity, professionalism, and support in all of our continuing education programs. We take all grievances seriously and aim to resolve them promptly, respectfully, and in alignment with ethical standards.
Grievances may include, but are not limited to:
Requests for refunds
Concerns or dissatisfaction with course content
Non-receipt of certicates of completion
Any other issues that arise in connection with your course experience
How to Submit a Grievance
All grievances must be submitted in writing via email to madeleine@vanessabennett.com. Please include your name, the course title, the nature of the grievance, and any supporting information that may help us understand the issue.
Response & Resolution Process
We will acknowledge receipt of your grievance within 5 business days.
The issue will be reviewed by our administrative team and/or instructors as appropriate.
A proposed resolution will be communicated within 10 business days of receiving the grievance.
If the resolution is not satisfactory, further steps will be discussed, which may include refund, course credit, or other accommodations.
All grievances and their resolutions will be documented and retained as part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.
In accordance with CAMFT and BBS requirements, grievance records are maintained and reported as part of our renewal process.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens and plans can change. Our goal is to offer fexibility while also honoring the integrity of our small-group learning experiences.
Refund Requests
To request a refund or cancel your registration, please contact us in writing via email at madeleine@vanessabennett.com.
Be sure to include your full name, the course title, and the reason for your cancellation.
Refund Policy
7 or more days prior to the course start date: You may cancel your registration for a full refund, minus a $25 administrative fee.
Less than 7 days before the course begins: No refunds will be issued. However, you may request to transfer your registration to a future cohort (if space is available).
Non-attendance (no-show): No refunds or transfers will be provided if you do not attend and did not notify us in advance.
Refund Processing
All approved refunds will be issued within 5-7 business days of your cancellation confirmation. Refunds will be processed to the original form of payment.

Accessibility & Accommodations Policy
We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all participants. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state laws, we provide reasonable accommodations to ensure full participation in our courses.
If you require accommodations due to a disability or have specific accessibility needs, please contact us at madeleine@vanessabennett.com at least 7 days prior to the course start date.

Some examples of accommodations may include:
Extended time for coursework or assessments
Access to materials in alternative formats (PDF, audio, etc.)
Captioning or transcripts for video/audio content
