Inner Compass Academy Summit
You have the tools. You have the training. But you’re still hitting a wall with clients who are stuck in the same patterns.
Join us for a free 3-day summit on how to move beyond surface-level coping and facilitate deep, lasting transformation through depth psychology.
August 5, 6 & 7 · Live online · Replays available · Free to attend
You see it in your practice every day.
The client who understands their trauma cognitively but still reacts the same way. The one who has done years of therapy, built better boundaries, learned to regulate — and yet something still feels flat, repetitive, or quietly stuck. The sessions where your tools work for a day, and then the same wound resurfaces the following week.
This is not a failure of effort. It is a signal that the work needs to go deeper.
So much of modern healing culture teaches us how to cope, regulate, function, and improve — inside systems that often keep us disconnected from the deeper questions and searching externally for answers. It does not always teach us how to listen to what lives underneath.
But true healing asks for more than coping. It asks for reconnection. It asks for depth.
It asks for a relationship with the unconscious, the body, the symbolic, the relational, and the soul.
Depth work matters because the patterns we carry are rarely only cognitive. They live in the body, in the nervous system, in dreams, in relationships, in ancestral stories, in archetypes, in shadow — and in the parts of us we learned to exile in order to belong.
This summit is an invitation to step beneath the surface and begin listening to what lives underneath.
Why depth,
Why now.
Across three days you’ll be invited into a deeper way of seeing, listening, and holding space.
You will:
Understand why traditional coaching and therapy models often plateau — and what depth psychology offers instead
Learn how shadow, archetypes, dreams, and the unconscious actively shape healing and transformation
Experience somatic and imaginal practices you can begin integrating into your work immediately
Hear from Inner Compass Academy teachers and alumni about what this work looks like in real practice
Develop a clearer framework for holding space with more depth, humility, ethics, and soul
Connect with a community of therapists, coaches, seekers, and space-holders walking a similar path
This is not about adding one more technique to your toolkit. It is an invitation to work from a fundamentally different level.
What You’ll Experience
-
Tuesday, August 5 · 9–10:30am PT
Teacher: Vanessa Bennett
Theme: Moving beyond the surface — why depth psychology changes everything.
What we'll explore:
Most healing frameworks focus on what we can see, measure, and manage. Day 1 asks a different question: what if the patterns keeping your clients stuck are not problems to be solved, but invitations to go deeper? We'll explore what depth psychology is, how it differs from surface-level approaches, and why working with the psyche — shadow, symbol, soul, and the unconscious — opens doors that coping strategies simply cannot.
You'll walk away with:
•A clear understanding of why depth psychology produces change where other frameworks plateau
•A new lens for reading your clients' patterns as meaningful, not just problematic
•A felt sense of the Inner Compass Academy approach — and whether this is the missing layer in your practice
-
Wednesday, August 6 · 9–10:30am PT
Teachers: Emily Cervini + Madeleine Downey
Theme: What lives beneath — shadow, projection, and the unconscious forces shaping your clients' lives.
What we'll explore:
Transformation doesn't happen by fixing what's visible. Day 2 goes into the material that lives beneath the surface: shadow, projection, relational patterns, and the archetypal forces shaping how your clients see themselves and others. We'll explore why real change asks us to meet what has been disowned, defended against, or hidden from consciousness — and how to hold that space safely and skillfully.
You'll walk away with:
• A working understanding of shadow that goes far beyond "limiting beliefs" or negative traits
• A practical framework for recognising projection and unconscious material in your sessions
• Concrete insight into how archetypal and symbolic work can support lasting transformation in your clients
-
Thursday, August 7 · 9–11:30am PT
Teacher: Tauné Lyons
Alumni Workshop: Spencer Spellman
Theme: Bringing it into the body — how depth psychology becomes something you live, not just understand.
Workshop 1: Somatic + Imaginal Integration · 9–10:30am PT
With Tauné Lyons
What we'll explore:
Insight alone doesn't create integration. Day 3 brings the work into the body, the imagination, and lived experience. Through somatic and imaginal practice, we'll explore how depth work becomes something we embody — and how to guide your clients through that same process. This session will give you a direct felt experience of how body, psyche, and symbolic imagination participate in healing.
You'll walk away with:
• A direct experience of somatic and imaginal practice — not just a conceptual understanding
• A clearer sense of how to bridge insight and embodied integration in your own work
• Practical language for introducing this approach to clients
Workshop 2: Depth Psychology as a Bridge to Your Future Self · 10:30–11:30am PT
With Spencer Spellman, ICA Alumni
What we'll explore:
In this alumni-led session, Spencer shares how Inner Compass Academy and depth psychology became a bridge into a more conscious and integrated life — touching not just his career, but his identity, relationships, creativity, and sense of purpose. Drawing from his background in philosophy, travel writing, photography, storytelling, and content marketing, Spencer reflects on how depth psychology can inform both traditional and non-traditional paths — and how your existing background and lived experience can become part of what you offer.
You'll walk away with:
• A grounded, real-world example of how ICA shapes life and work beyond the classroom
• An expanded sense of what your own path could look like with a depth framework underneath it
• A glimpse into how alumni are integrating this work into coaching, facilitation, creative work, and everyday life
What’s Happening Each Day
Inner Compass Academy is led by a collective of teachers, therapists, coaches, artists, somatic practitioners, and spiritual guides — each bringing a different doorway into the work.
Together, they offer a grounded, multidimensional approach to depth psychology, embodiment, spiritual psychology, relational healing, and ethical space-holding.
Meet Your Guides
This summit is for you if you are a therapist, coach, space-holder, seeker, or student who knows that healing cannot be reduced to tools, techniques, or quick fixes.
It is for you if you feel drawn to depth psychology, shadow work, dreamwork, somatics, archetypes, and the unconscious — but are not sure yet where to begin or how to integrate it into your practice.
It is for you if you are holding space for others and want to do that with more skill, humility, integrity, and depth — not just more techniques.
It is for you if you have done your own inner work and are ready for a framework that honours psyche, spirit, and body as interconnected.
It is for you if your current approach is reaching its edges — and you sense that something more symbolic, embodied, relational, and soul-centered is being asked for.
You do not need to be a therapist to attend. You do need a willingness to look inward, stay curious, and approach this work with care.
